Anderson Swim/Dive Parents

· All swim team warm up jackets are to be turned in on Thursday March 1^st! Please have your swimmer or diver bring their washed jacket on a hanger to the weight room between

the hours of 2:20 & 2:45pm! THIS IS THE ONLY TIME TO TURN THEM IN! DO NOT GIVE IT TO THE ATHLETIC OFFICE! If your son or daughter cannot make it, please have a teammate bring their jacket.

· Congratulations to all for their efforts in each of the Championship meets: Sectionals, District Invitational, or District Championships! I was proud of their behavior and sportsmanship at these meets. A coach can never take that for granted!

· A special mention to those swimmers and divers who participated in the District Championships at Miami University.

Swimmers: Korey Aukerman / Kristi Darlington / Connor Davis / Kellie Defosse / Colleen Dunlap / Megan Forsthoefel / Casey Gallagher / Nicki Holtkamp / Andrea Lupariello / Danny O’Connor / Christeena Parsons / Cecilia Rose / Cara Wethington / Grant Wethington and Chris Zerhusen. These 15 swimmer had 37 different swims at the meet and 95% were best times. Very outstanding! It was the fastest Districts in the history of Ohio High School Swimming and the fastest of the 4 Districts across the State.

Out of this came 5 who qualified to the State Championships later this week in Canton Ohio. The 400 Free Relay of Connor Davis, Grant Wethington, Casey Gallagher and Korey Aukerman placed 8^th at the meet and qualified to the State Meet. Nicki Holtkamp place 4^th in both the 50 free and 100 free which qualified her for the State Meet in both events. The girls 400 free relay of Nicki Holtkamp, Andrea Lupariello, Cara Wethington and Cecilia Rose dropped 10 seconds and made it to the awards podium, placing 7^th but were .06 shy of qualifying to the State Meet (ouch).

We will leave Thursday morning after a 9:15 am send off in the halls of AHS. The State meet runs Friday and Saturday. Follow the results on www.swimmeet.com

Wednesday, ALL SWIMMERS, DIVERS, FRIENDS, AND FAMILIES are encouraged to come to UNO'S Pizzeria at 6:30 pm. We have the party room reserved and 15-20% of all the money spent will be donated back to the TEAM!

Most of the swimmers in Group I will continue their swimming by representing their various clubs at the Ohio Senior Championships, Southwest Ohio YMCA Champs, YMCA Nationals or Speedo Sectional Championships. Good luck!
