GIRLS - Saturday / bus leaves at 7:15am / meet starts at 9:30am

DISTRICT INVITATIONAL / Sycamore HS

GIrls - Monday 4:30pm
* AHS has (2) girls teams entered to insure each swimmers gets to swim
  their "good events"...with our large numbers this year
Foster's group is one team / Ed's group is another.

Boys - Tuesday 4:30pm


Parents please help out when asked to serve in the Concession area even though it is NOT a swimming
event.  This is our responsiblity.  Much of this money comes directly back to your son / daughter in money
I ask for every season.

Swimmers need to check with me about events they are swimming in the sectionals and in the Cooper Invitational.  I will have details on the bus schedule for Monday and Tuesday later this week so check with me for that too.  In my practice group there are only 3 practice days left so keep coming and work on putting the finishing touches on this season.

Hey everyone! Hope you get to see that orange hair before it's gone! The guys look GREAT! There were a LOT of fun sounds coming out of my basement. What a fun tradition; I hope it lives on!
 
Just a quick reminder that the booster packets that went home last week were due today. I stopped at school after work today and several of the kids looked at me, dazed and confused, when I asked if they returned the packet. The boosters (not me) knows who has outstanding ice scrapers and I'm sure they will 'hunt you down'! (HA!) Try to send the orders or unsold scrapers back TOMORROW! Thanks.
 
While we're talking money, send in a few bucks or more to put toward coaches gifts. We have a GREAT coaching staff this year, let's show our appreciation. Send in what you feel comfortable, in an envelop marked toward a specific coach if you wish. Dive team will take care of Brian, I will take care of Ed, Mr. Foster, Phil and Paul. Mr. Foster actually asked me today that IF we collect for coaches that I take his portion and get something for the custodians who help maintain our pool. THAT man is influencing YOUR kids--isn't that GREAT! You can give your donation to Rita, Jodi Vigar or Adam Blake.
 
Everyone's championship meets are coming up. HOW EXCITING! Every swimmer has a different goal and I hope they all meet or surpass them. To quote Michelangelo, "The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it". --AIM HIGH!!
 
Pasta dinner this week is at the Blakes. Thanks to Susan Zerhusan and Teresa Orkiszewski for helping. Directions: (from school) Take Beechmont to LEFT on Eight Mile. Turn RIGHT on Northport. Turn RIGHT on Pinebluff. Turn LEFT on CORAN and then LEFT on Manitoba. We are 8652 Manitoba, on the left and will have an orange swimmer sign by our house. (see map link below) THE DINNER IS THURSDAY AT 6:30 BECAUSE THE BOYS SWIM FRIDAY!!!!! Some of the boys will begin shaving their head after eating so bring cameras.
 
Our timing commitments are fulfilled, our dinners are pretty well staffed; PLEASE, to those of you who have not stepped forward to volunteer; sign up with Christine to work concessions. With 70+ swimmers/ divers, it is inexcusable for a few of the parents to do all of the volunteering. We ALL signed that orange paper at the beginning of the season agreeing to work concessions. Great parent volunteers are what sets AHS apart from some of those OTHER schools! Do your part--please!
