*The Mason invitational is a very long meet, make sure your swimmer is
prepared.
Things to take would be homework (yea right!), cards, lots of low fat snacks (ie,
fruit and bagels) and water or gatorade. Also, pack a sandwich or bring money to
buy
something more substantial.*The first pasta dinner will be next Friday, December
14th
at theVonHertsenbergs. Terri has no helpers signed up yet so if you're
interested,
contact her or email Rita @
ritalb@cinci.rr.com. Time and directions will be in the
update next week. If you are interested inhosting or helping with a pasta
dinner,
email Rita. They are LOTS of fun!*If you have a friend who was not at the parent
meeting, they will not beon the email list for updates. Forward this to them and
encourage them to contact Jodi Vigar to get on the email list. Bus leaves at
6:30 am

Dear AHS Parents –
[Week of November 26th]
Pool Water/ The filter room pump shut off this past Sunday
because of an
electrical spike.
When maintenance restarted it Monday morning it spit out sediment which made the
water very cloudy.
Monday afternoon for swim practice the chemical balance was back to normal but I
chose to not get in the water.
I wanted to give the pool another 24 hours to filter. The sediment is too
small for
the filter so additional chemicals were added on Wednesday to assistant in
filtering. This will take another day or two to actually make the pool
clear in
appearance. There is no danger in swimming in the pool nor is it a health
hazard.
The kids were coughing both Tuesday and Wednesday as the chlorine was turned up
to
be sure the water was not a health hazard. Again there is no danger in
moderately
high chlorine levels.
We also cut back on the time in the water.
Football playoffs/ I am excited as anyone that
Anderson’s football team is
having “the year of the decade”. I drove to the Columbus game myself
and it was
truly awesome. I totally support the swimmers being a part of this and
attending
these playoff games. Does it create headaches in weekend practices and
this week’s
meet…YES! This happens so rarely that I will live and we still have
the entire
season ahead of us so GO ANDERSON!
Mason Invite/ The bus leaves Saturday morning 6:30am sharp!
We will pull out at
6:32am regardless. The lineup is posted on our web site (www.andersonswimming.org).
I will of course be making changes as the lineup was due before students
made
decisions to attend the game. The prelims are projected to last until
about
2-2:3pm. Those who make the finals are responsible for their own ride back
to
finals.
Thank you,
Coach Ed
