Dear Coaches:

 

Enclosed you will find meet information pertaining to the 2007 Larry Lyons Invitational swim meet to be held Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Sycamore High School. We welcome Wyoming to the meet this year. 

 

All meet entries must be in the hands of the meet director by Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 12 Noon. We ask that all meet entries be submitted to the meet director via Hy-Tek. You may forward a disk or send them via e-mail. In the order of fairness, Sycamore HS will forward their entries to another school prior to the entry deadline. With the seeding format that will apply, we ask that all entry times submitted be from completed swims this season. Event switching and or participant changes will not be allowed. However, substitutions for illness or injury may be made at the meet.

Entries: Each swimmer may compete in a total of four (4) events, of which no more than two (2) may be individual events. Diving is considered one event. Each team is allowed two (2) individual entries and two (2) relay entries per event. Both relays will be scored!

 

The eighteen swimmers entered in each event will be seeded from slowest to fastest with the fastest six (6) swimmers in the third or final heat. Swimmers may move throughout the final rankings regardless of which heat they participated in.

 

All National Federation rules will be followed.

 

Scoring for the meet will remain at twelve places as follows:

                Individual events 16, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

                Relay events         32, 26, 24, 22, 20, 18, 14, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2

 

Awards for the meet will be as follows:

                Individual events and relays              1st  -  3rd  Medals

                Individual events and relays              4th  -  12th  Ribbons                               

 

Entry Fee: 60$ for each girl’s team and 60$ for each boy’s team. The payment goes to help defray the cost of awards and running of the meet. Please have checks made out to Sycamore Athletic Department.

All divers and swimmers must have a school representative with them before they can begin warm-up.

 

We ask that each team be courteous in following the posted warm up times. If you will have a known discrepancy with the assigned warm up session please contact Sycamore in advance so that we may attempt to make changes.
